Data integration and security complexity

The client, a major financial institution operating through a network of cooperating banks, was facing increasing complexity in managing performance reporting. The integration of diverse data sources from multiple partner banks proved highly challenging, as each bank used different formats and data quality standards, making it difficult to build a unified and reliable model. Additional challenges included implementing row-level and column-level security while maintaining system performance, balancing comprehensive overviews with detailed product-level insights, and ensuring consistent automated data refreshes without compromising accuracy.

OUR SOLUTION

Unified BI framework

We developed the Bank Performance Management App using a robust ETL framework powered by R and Python scripts to process and standardize inputs from over 20 different sources. This approach ensured consistent and reliable data through advanced cleansing and transformation. We designed a unified data model to enable accurate cross-bank analysis while supporting row-level, column-level, and role-based security to protect sensitive information. Our dashboards provide both high-level overviews and granular product insights, and we implemented automated weekly and monthly refreshes to ensure timely and reliable reporting across all cooperating banks.

RESULTS

Scalable and transparent platform

The project delivered a centralized, secure, and scalable Bank Performance Management App, allowing partner banks to access tailored performance insights across more than 15 products. Automated refreshes improved transparency and decision-making while reinforcing compliance and data security. The solution enabled strategic planning and operational efficiency across all cooperating banks.
